Disgracefully Idiotic?
Here… see if this leaves your mouth
hanging wide open, in sheer disbelief in our government?
I don’t know if you’ve heard… but, we’ve got
some problems down at the border, and I ain’t talkin’ about Taco Bell! There are
approximately 11.2 million illegal
aliens that have made the jump into the United States of America (about 58% are
Mexican). You may even know some of them. Roughly, 8 million of these individuals are here working illegally! How do
they do it? Easy, every Jose, Juan, and their sister carry a fake Social
Security card. You’re probably thinking, wouldn’t the federal government notice
8,000,000 fake Social Security numbers? And if you’re anything like me, you’re
asking yourself… What happens to all the collected, but unfiled, because they’re illegal taxes?
Well, according to a New York Times article
back on April 6, 2005, “Starting in the late 1980s, the Social Security
Administration received a flood of W-2 earnings reports with
incorrect---sometimes simply fictitious---Social Security numbers. It stashed
them in what it calls the 'earnings suspense file' in the hope that someday it
would figure out whom they belonged to. The file has been mushrooming ever
since: $189 billion worth of wages ended up recorded in the suspense file over
the 1990s, two and a half times the amount of the 1980s.”
In the last couple of decades, the file has
continued to grow, on average, by more than $50 billion a year, generating $6
billion to $8 billion in Social Security tax revenue and way over $1.5 billion
in Medicare taxes. That’s just a lot of
Dumb!
It gets
worse!
Have you ever heard of an ITIN (or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)? It’s something the IRS dreamed up back
in 1996. It’s a magical 9 digit number (suspiciously similar to a Social
Security Number) that they freely hand out to Illegals. In 2006 1.4
million people used an ITIN when filing taxes and federal tax law prohibits
the IRS from sharing data with other government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security,
assuring unauthorized aliens that the tax information will be
confidential and will not be used to initiate
removal procedures. It’s great! They can use it to file their taxes from their
illegal job and feel safe! Oh, and one last added bonus! You can use your ITIN
to buy a house here even if you’re here illegally.
Receiving money back in the form of a tax
return and pilfering the American dream… if
I didn’t know better, I’d say our government is encouraging our problems at
the border. Oh well, don’t worry about it… don't forget to close your mouth. I gotta go, I think American Idol is on.
